From beginning to end, this was a weird episode.

The intro was short and frenetic; the final moments, unusually quiet and anticlimactic.

In short mostly ho-hum filler in advance of the mid-season finale.

(Sounds very safe and secure, Im sure hes just fine.)

What happened after Ricks death that polarized the two communities so deeply?

Where are they, exactly?

Who are they people theyre working with?

To whom did Siddiq promise that he wouldnt tell Michonne about Maggies departure?

Jesus also won an uncontested election as Hilltops leader and he issuper pumpedabout it.

That last one should be grounds for banishment.

Though Ill give Bernie this he does know how to make an entrance, even in undeath.

Perhaps to repay them for her tude, Michonne delivers a most humane mercy killing when Bernie comes a-chompin.

Far more entertaining is Camp Dixon, where Daryl is living a life of solitude.

How down in the dumps is he?

His chopper is under a tarp.

She couldnt smile any wider when Daryl dusts off the bike and says hes on board.

It seems everyones plans change by the end.

Michonne agrees to stay with the Rando caravan when she learns Rositas hurt and at Hilltop.

Jesus dumps his to-do list on Tara and declares hes going to look for Eugene with Aaron.

And Daryls eager to join them and get back in the action again.

Henry is grounded, but thats probably fine with him, since hes crushinghardon Enid.

Stay away from that brat from Oceanside, though.

(And speaking of, where are they?)

(Cue the sad trombone.)

But were left with more questions than answers and hoping the next chapter is more satisfying than this one.
