Were meant to believe this is the end of a nine-film saga, butis it?

According to the trailer, the answer is … maybe.
The Story Will End.
The Saga Lives Forever, it declares.

So what should we expect in terms of closure?
The ninth film wont feel as if it has a beginning.
Something true of more than half of theStar Warsfilms is that they dont start with proper beginnings.

This is kind of by design.
The movie will probably throw a bone to the prequels.
And yet, its going to happen.

A lot of the confusing prophecy stuff fromThe Phantom MenaceandRevenge of the Sithis bound to get trotted out now.
There will be at least twounexpectedcameos.
WhenSolohit in 2018,nobodyhad any clue that Darth Maul would make a cameo near the end.
Some people thinkDenis Lawson will return to play X-wing pilot Wedge Antilles.
The cameos will likely be bigger than that.
Or aHutt Cartel return?
Leia will appear.
This is a certainty.
On top of that,theres also a rumorthat a de-aged Leia will pop-up in a 1983-ish flashback.
Kylo Ren and Reys whole deal will be explained, but it wont satisfy anyone.
Somebody (probably Kylo Ren) will die.
The good guys will win.
Maybe he knew the party wasntreallyover?
But in 2019, thats not the case.
It has to strike the right tone of hope and awe that has always fueled the franchise.
