And it wasnt anicemaster plan.

Except, once again, the episode zags instead of zigging.
It gets worse from there, thanks to Joes unconscious racism.
She doesnt seem like the jot down of person who would spend months (years?)
stewing over what she should have said to Joe to put him in his place.
Is this the smart play?
Ultimately, tragically, we discover that its not.
When Joe calls her out on killing David, Jane doesnt give a shot to defend herself.
Hes decided that Penelope is a taker and, worse yet, a young taker.
(That shes Latina remains unspoken, but probably plays a role as well.)
So Joes intent on having his revenge.
This is the Purge mentality in its purest form, and its awful and unjustifiable.
Its ugly to watch in action, too.
But its rarely wasting time.
Joes not the good guy we thought he was.
In fact, he has some pretty deep-seated racist and misogynistic tendencies wed never seen before.
He might have changed for the better, who knows?
He survives the episode.
Will we learn more about Sheridan next week?
Is he theJordan Petersonof thePurgeworld?
One of the best touches this week: The way Joe echoes his bully without realizing what hes doing.
Hes become what he hates without realizing it.
