Thats not to undervalue the incredibly talented cast or endearing characters whove surrounded Roseanne all these years.

But still,Roseannewithout Roseanne … turns out, still has a bit of life left in it.

Roseanne Conner, without being flip, does not.

In the least well-kept spoiler ever, Roseanne was killed off her show.

Barr herself had revealed in an interview last month that Roseanne died of an accidental opioid overdose.

Dans immediate reaction is to blame the source of Roseannes closet pills, a woman named Marcy.

Until Marcy Bellinger comes knocking on his door.

Marcy played with heartbreaking perfection by Mary Steenburgen is crushed to find out about her role in Roseannes death.

She assures Dan shell live with her guilt for the rest of her life.

Dan still playfully mocks daffy Crystals attempts to deliver helpful advice.

Sarcasm, of course, continues to be the familys main weapon against everything thats thrown at it.

Dan replies thusly: Seen a little too much action in Nam, Joey?

Im still not totally sold on whether or notThe Connerscan continue to have a reason to exist without Barr.

Around Lanford:

The Connersshow logo uses the same font as theRoseannelogo.

Harris: Granny Rose wrote everyone a letter?

Harris: You suck!

Darlene: I might die tomorrow, dont be mean.

Mark has boy problems, which hed been talking to Roseanne about.

Special tag scenes were always a Roseanne staple, andThe Connerspremiere continues that tradition.

And, Im betting, it made a lot of people snuggle their bedmates a little more tightly afterwards.
