Few recurringSaturday Night Livesketches have achieved the immortal status of Celebrity Jeopardy.
People would talk about the sketch and say that the celebrities were dumb.
But that wasnt it.
It was that they didnt care.
They just wanted to burn Alex Trebek.
Because hes so unassailably good.
There are two stories about the origins of Celebrity Jeopardy.
Macdonalds 70s-era Burt Reynolds is the star here.
Sometimes they just dont want to see accuracy, they just want it to be funny.
