Exhausted of options and struggling to pay for his sons day care, Emmett falls into being Quentins accomplice.

Meanwhile, Brandon quits his job because he doesnt want to snitch on a fellow employee.
He was a do-gooder, employed in an industry which they didnt really understand.
His job as a chef was used to indicate both his ambitions and his familys confusion about that desire.
(Also, Im sure the employee still lost his job.)
For now, Brandon heads back to Jerrika, who is still hesitant to allow him in her house.
