Under Rob Marshalls direction,Mary Poppins Returnsdoesnt quite know what to make of Marys split personality.
Marshall simply sets about re-creating the style and tone ofMary Poppins.
Younger kids might respond.
In his first major studio part, Miranda is light on his feet and wonderfully congenial.
But Emily Mortimer dispels that pall and then some.
Shes like Mary Poppins, only human.
