neglect and maltreatment she suffered at the hands of her father.

And contra Sorkins movie, there was no full reconciliation.

The book is ubiquitous covered byEsquire,Time, and of course,People.

(It really says something when part of a book reviews URL reads, steve-jobs-terrible.)

In a lesser writers hands, the narrative could have devolved into literary revenge.

Indeed, it has that defining aspect of a literary work: the stamp of a singular sensibility.

We shouldnt be surprised.
