Before we get to if it was funny, lets discuss how it worked.

A stupid thing when everyone has serious faces on is always going to be at least a little funny.
So, when Kimmel first introduced the premise, I laughed.
Then I thought,its doomed.
This is nothing against Jimmy Kimmel or the whole Jimmy Kimmel writing staff.
There are some obvious differences between the two.

If I were to categorize the reaction, it wasnt so much laughter as it was, Okay!
And, honestly, thats not bad.
Does this mean we should grade Oscars hosts on a curve?

Jimmy Kimmel didnt win, but he didnt lose either.
